Golf Cart Batteries in my camper

I have had Golf Cart Batteries in my camper that I have lived in for 16 years. I tend to get 7 years of life or so from my 4 batteries. At one point I had only two, quite frankly 2 are enough for my needs since all more batteries do is increase time between charges. since I have a 400 watt solar system they are always charging. I was considering switching to agm's but I have heard of a lot of battery bank failures in boat livaboards, not to mention agm's would not last 7 years.
