They produces industrial, small to medium sized turbines that utilize centrifugal blade pitch for rotor speed control. The 18.4 foot diameter rotor swings at a modest 245 rpm and is fully governed at a moderate 26 mph.

The Scirocco uses a hollow fiberglass blade with aluminum root inserts. This design is more efficient because they are lighter and respond quicker to wind gust. Since less inertia must be overcome more energy can be captured by these gust. Hollow blades are also used on large commercial turbines.
